A website header being “sticky” means that the header bar stays fixed at the top while the rest of the page is being scrolled up and down. In this way, the header is always visible regardless of how far up or down the page a user is.

One of the primary benefits of a sticky header is that the header bar is always visible and available to website users even when they are all the way down in the middle or bottom of the page which means:

• being able to navigate to other pages without having to scroll all the way back up,
• always having the contact options on the header such as: contact link/button, Phone number, email address, etc. available and visible to website users,
• having call-to-action links or buttons such as: appointment, reservation/booking, donation, etc. always available and visible to website users,

The header can be made to always stay fixed at the top (stick to the top) of the page or become sticky after scrolling some distance.
